TreeLab is proud to grow native plants for the Allen Ave Common Park Project. By sourcing plants locally, the Allen Ave Project supports the Richmond community and reduces its environmental impact.

TreeLab is a nonprofit greenhouse growing beautification plants, with a focus on native species. We are a program of the Enrichmond Foundation, helping to fulfill its mission to serve Richmond’s people, parks, and public spaces. We work with the City government, citizen groups, nonprofits, and businesses to improve our urban environment through locally sourced trees and plants.

What We Do

Growing Plants: We operate a City-owned greenhouse, specializing in growing native trees available for purchase by businesses and nonprofits. Other woody plants (shrubs, small trees) and perennials are available upon request and for special projects.

Giving Plants: Our nonprofit model allows us to provide donated and reduced cost plants to citizen or nonprofit-led projects in the City of Richmond.

Consulting and Educating: The TreeLab Manager can provide expert advice to citizen-led and nonprofit projects, as well as provide small-group educational opportunities.

How You Can Help

Foster-A-Tree: Donate to foster a tree at TreeLab! A $25 or $75 one-time donation allows TreeLab to donate trees and plants to beautification projects throughout the city.  Click Here to donate!
